Equipment Selection: The Forgotten Lean Principle

The author of this paper argues that buying the right equipment at the right time should be posted as an additional important Lean principle, as being lean means manufacturing without waste. Buying a piece of equipment at the wrong time often means wasting capital when the equipment is not fully utilized.
